Itasca Internet Services

All Itasca services are based off of the Linux server environment, and updated frequently to keep them secure. Machines are backed up daily, have superior uptime, and are connected to the network via a T1 connection. All services -- even our most basic -- entitle you to our friendly, personal customer support via e-mail or phone.

Itasca Basic Services

E-mail/Telnet Only	$5/month	Our basic user account. E-mail via POP, IMAP, or Web USENET news via NNTP 2MB personal file space, including Web pages and FTP.
Dialup	$15/month	All the features of the E-mail/Telnet Only account, plus PPP Dialup access (up to 100 hours/month). Note: Dialup access available only via Twin Cities, MN local numbers

In addition to our normal service offerings, we offer the following services, both to existing Itasca customers and to anyone else.

DNS Registration	Market (typ. $17/year)	Whether you're one of our Hosting Customers, or just want to park an address, we'll handle the technical bureaucracy of registering your domain. We'll shop for the lowest price available with reliable carriers.
Mailing List	up to 100 subscribers, up to 2MB archive $1/month self-serve, $2/month managed 100-1000 subscribers; up to 5MB archive; light-to-moderate traffic $2/month self-serve, $4/month managed Heavy traffic or > 1000 subscribers Without archive: $5/month self-serve, $10/month managed. With archive: $7/month self-serve, $12/month managed (up to 5MB).	Itasca runs a Mailing List Server called Mailman, which provides both e-mail and web-based access to list administration, archives, and user options. Service is fast, reliable, and advertisement-free (compare to Yahoo!Groups). The only restriction on mailing lists, whether self-serve or managed by Itasca's staff, is that they may not be used to send unsolicited commercial e-mail (spam), and that all subscribers must be voluntary.
Web Forum	$1/month self-serve, $2/month managed, per forum	Itasca intends to set up a shared Web Forum server, providing BBS-like threaded discussions open to the public, much like Delphi Forums or Yahoo!Clubs.
Dedicated List, Forum, or Weblog Server	Basic Hosting: $5/month self-serve; $10/month managed Advanced Hosting: self-serve included; $5/month managed	Existing Hosting Customers can ask us to set up a dedicated mailing-list, forum, or weblog (Slashdot, Radio Free Tomorrow) server under their hosted web address. Once set up, the customer has the option of managing it themselves (self-serve) or asking us to do so (managed).
